"The programme gives young people a platform to express real life situations, views and concerns through the medium of theatre."

Why “Our Culture Our Nation in Performing Arts” Training Programme?

Youth who take a gap year often find themselves in a transitional phase, uncertain about their future paths and career choices. This period, while valuable for self-reflection, can also leave many feelings disconnected, unproductive, or at risk of losing motivation. Through the programme we prioritize these young people by providing them with practical skills, especially in creative and personal development areas like the arts, which helps to keep them engaged, inspired, and focused.

What do we do?

The training programme is designed to equip young people with essential skills in the performing arts. By using theatre as a dynamic educational tool, it helps youth develop leadership qualities, build confidence, and enhance social awareness through creative expression. The programme continues to deliver meaningful learning experiences to young people in Delft and surrounding communities. It offers a powerful platform for participants to explore and express real-life experiences, viewpoints, and social concerns through performance.Importantly, the programme provides a valuable opportunity for youth who are taking a gap year by offering them skills and creative engagement that keep them active, focused, and connected to personal growth. This engagement not only broadens their horizons but also exposes them to a wide spectrum of arts and cultural development. Ultimately, the programme cultivates a deep appreciation for theatre, while fostering a strong sense of identity, belonging, self-worth, and personal accomplishment.
