Managing Director
Nkosikho is a hardworking and ambitious individual with a great passion for arts, culture, and community development. He possesses excellent communication skills, enabling him to engage effectively with a wide range of people. With over 10 years of experience in both the non-profit and private sectors, he has played prominent roles that have made a positive impact on society. He has served in various leadership positions, including as a Programme Coordinator, Project Manager, and Deputy Chairperson of the board. He currently serves as the Managing Director of Rainbow Arts Organisation. Nkosikho believes that success is achieved when preparedness meets opportunity.
Buntu Jobela
Artistic Programme Coordinator
Buntu Jobela is a multi-skilled artist and the Artistic Programme Coordinator at Rainbow Arts Organisation (RAO). Active in the arts since 2003, he joined RAO in 2006 and has played a key role in expanding its events and programmes. With experience as a stage manager, production manager, and theatre producer at top venues such as Artscape and the Baxter Theatre, Buntu applies his skills to developing young talent and advancing RAO’s artistic vision. He is passionate about breaking boundaries and creating opportunities for the next generation of artists.
Anele Kalipa
Office Admin | Bookkeeper
Anele Kalipa was born in King William’s Town in the Eastern Cape. She studied N6 Financial Management at Lovedale FET College and further obtained certificates in Pastel, Payroll, and Excel through SAGE. Anele is a hardworking and driven individual who isn’t afraid to face challenges. She is passionate about her work and sees herself as an open and honest person who values integrity and fairness in all she does.
Olwehu Qavile
Artistic Programme Facilitator
Olwethu Qavile is a performer and Artistic Programme Facilitator at Rainbow Arts Organisation (RAO), where she shares her passion for drama, movement, and music; helping young people build confidence and develop their creative skills. She has a strong background in both theatre and screen work, with experience in acclaimed productions and short films. Olwethu believes in the power of the arts to inspire, heal, and uplift communities. Through her work, she is committed to creating safe and creative spaces where young people can thrive.
Yanga Maqokolo
Artistic Programme Facilitator
Yanga Maqokolo is a passionate artist and facilitator based in Cape Town. With a background in theatre performance and graphic design, Yanga uses creativity as a tool for healing, self-expression, and youth empowerment. As an Artistic Programme Facilitator at Rainbow Arts Organisation (RAO), he works closely with young people, creating safe spaces where they can explore their talents, build confidence, and engage in open conversations about mental well-being. His work is rooted in the belief that every young person deserves to feel valued, supported, and free to thrive.
Ayabonga Fikile
Artistic Programme Facilitator
Ayabonga Fikile is a passionate theatre maker, known for his good heart and welcoming smile. As an Artistic Programme Facilitator at Rainbow Arts Organisation (RAO), he uses drama to help young people express themselves, grow their confidence, and discover their talents. Ayabonga is dedicated to youth development and continues to grow both as an artist and mentor, believing in the power of the arts to change lives.
Siphesihle Madokhwe
Artistic Programme Facilitator
Siphesihle is a talented and dedicated artist who is making a real difference in her community. Her passion, creativity, and commitment to her craft make her a valuable asset to the world of township theatre. With a flair for the dramatic and a heart devoted to telling the stories that matter, Siphesihle’s work is a true reflection of her soul.
Sinesipho Sophini
Artistic Programme Facilitator
Sinesipho Sophini is a talented South African artist with skills in acting, dancing, singing, puppetry, and facilitation. At Rainbow Arts Organisation, she uses her creativity to help young people express themselves through drama and storytelling. Her script Icamagu was showcased during Theatre Week, highlighting her talents in both performance and writing. Sinesipho also enjoys reading, writing poetry, and stunt performing, making her a passionate and versatile member of the team. She currently serves as an Artistic Programme Facilitator at Rainbow Arts Organisation.
Philani Xhaga
Artistic Programme Facilitator
Philani “Steve” Xhaga is a seasoned actor, theatre maker, singer, and youth leader with over 20 years of experience in the performing arts. He began his journey in 2004 with Sophumelele Theatre Group and received training at Rainbow Arts Organisation (RAO) and the Simon Estes Music School. His stage debut was at the Baxter Theatre in 2009 during the Ikhwezi Festival. He has starred in both local and international productions, including A Man of Good Hope, The Magic Flute, Amaza, and Sleeping with the Enemy. In 2025, he won the Best Supporting Actor award at the Zabalaza Festival. Today, he continues to mentor youth as an Artistic Programme Facilitator at Rainbow Arts Organisation.
Bongeka Mnukwa-Hloma

Bongeka Mnukwa-Hloma is the heart of Rainbow Arts Organisation (RAO), ensuring the space remains clean, welcoming, and safe for everyone. With her caring nature and deep appreciation for a tidy environment, she creates a space where young people feel comfortable and free to express themselves. As a proud mother, Bongeka brings the same warmth and nurturing spirit to RAO, fostering a home-like atmosphere for all.
