"Empowering creativity through skills — the Arts Education And Training Programme equips aspiring artists with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to thrive in the creative industries."

Why the Arts Education and Training Programme?

There is a pressing need for Arts Education and Training in South Africa to unlock the creative potential of the nation’s youth, preserve cultural heritage, and strengthen the country’s creative economy. Despite South Africa’s rich artistic and cultural diversity, many learners and emerging artists lack access to structured training, mentorship, and resources needed to develop their talents and turn their creativity into viable careers.

What do we do?

Arts Education and Training Programme is an innovative, CAPS-aligned youth arts education programme that supports classroom learning by bridging curriculum outcomes with real-world creative experiences. Designed for learners in high schools around Delft who are looking to enrich their skills in Creative Arts, Visual Arts, and Dramatic Arts learning areas, this programme deepens learners’ engagement through experiential, and project-based learning.

Learners explore key concepts such as art elements and principles, performance and visual storytelling, cultural heritage, and social themes through a multidisciplinary lens. The Arts Education and Training Programme encourages critical thinking, collaboration, identity exploration, and creative expression while reinforcing CAPS learning objectives.
